Louis Kemp (He/Him/His) is a Vice President of Client Initiatives & Development at Synchrony, a Connecticut based Financial Services company and is current in his 19th year of service with the organization. Upon graduation from UNC Charlotte in 2001 with a degree in Marketing and Economics, Louis began working for a consumer finance division of General Electric which was spun-off into Synchrony in 2014. Louis also holds an Executive MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). At Synchrony, Louis co-led the global LGBT+ Network ERG for several years and served as an Operating Leader on the Women’s Network+ ERG.
Louis lives in Charlotte with his fiancé Eric and their fur babies Ashton, Feta & Mina. Most recently, Louis served on the Human Rights Campaign National Board of Governors supporting the HRC North Carolina Steering Committee with a focus on Digital/Marketing, Corporate Sponsorship, Fundraising Events and Donor Stewardship, with heavy involvement in Political, Volunteer and Community Engagement as well as Membership Outreach. Louis has also served as a member of Time Out Youth’s Board of Directors and Development Committee.
Louis has a passion for LGBTQ+ Equality – but when not “fighting the good fight”, he enjoys visiting one of the Queen City’s many breweries, traveling, cooking, bike riding and hanging out with friends and family.
